Mice and Mallards are by far the most common of the Fairyland wildlife, and are the only ones which will visit your Garden regardless what you are growing.
They're pretty harmless (they won't eat your plants or anything bad like that!) however they will always be there competing with other wildlife for the food in your Garden.
You can never keep these guys out completely, however if you plan your Garden well, you can increase the chances of other wildlife getting to your food first. Here are the 3 main ways to achieve this:
(1) Plant wisely to try and attract other wildlife first before the mice/mallards get there - remember that the more you plant of the same flower, the higher the overall attraction power!
(2) White mice and Pygmy mice cannot reach the 'raised table' (although Field mice and Mallards still can!) so if you're trying to attract wildlife such as birds or mythological creatures which can feed from the raised table, then using this table will increase your chances due to there being less competitors for the food.
(3) Fully grown Magical Mushrooms are known to help deter mice & mallards. You'll need to work your way through them to get to the more powerful ones - the first few Mushrooms you unlock will only have a slight deterrent effect. Visit the 'Magical Mushrooms' section in the Seed Shoppe to learn more!
